Setting the Shear in the Drawing Window
You can also set the Shear in the Drawing Window:
- Display the frame for which you wish to set the shear (see Moving between frames).
- Select the Shear node you wish to edit in the Drawing Window; see Selecting nodes in the Drawing Window.
- The border changes to show a handle on each corner:

- Use the Drawing Window's tools to set how the node behaves:
- To shear the image, use the Select tool to drag an edge of the border, or to drag its handles. When you do this, some of the handles become filled; these handles are selected, and will move. The other handles remain unfilled; they are unselected, and will not move.
- If you drag a an edge, the opposite edge remains fixed in position. For example, dragging the top edge would do this:

- If you drag a handle, the opposite handle also moves. For example, dragging the top right handle would do this:

- To rotate the image, drag with the Rotate tool, in the same way as for any other Transform-type node.
- To scale the image, drag with the Scale tool, in the same way as for the XYScale node. You can use the same keyboard modifiers to control how you change the scaling; see The XYScale node.
- To move the image, Alt-drag its border.
